...was born and raised in New York City, which shows up a lot in her work. She completed an M.A. in cultural anthropology and went immediately to live in Alaska for 3 years. It was too cold and dark there for her, so she moved to Los Angeles, where she met her husband. They backpacked through Europe and, when it got too cold there, came to work on a kibbutz in Israel. The kibbutz asked them to stay. 26 years and 3 children later, she is still teaching English and has been writing in the past few years. Her first book, Facets of the Poet, came out in 2001. Her book Trapped Inside the Story, a true account of a holocaust survivor, has been published by Level 4 Press.
