Steven Owen Shields
After careers as an all-night radio announcer and professor of mass communication, Steven Owen Shields has become an internationally published, award-winning poet. His work is emerging in a variety of literary journals, many devoted to metrical verse, including The Lyric, Time of Singing, The Raintown Review, Candelabrum, Poetry Church, freefall, frisson, and many others. His 2005 debut collection, Daimonion Sonata, has been published letterpress by Birch Brook Press.
Shields also serves as President of the Georgia Poetry Society.
